Dr. Baidhar Sahu, born on July 5, 1953, passed HSC Examination in 1970 and joined Ravenshaw College for pursuing college studies. He obtained his Masters Degree in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry as Special Paper and stood First Class Second in 1976 from Utkal University. He has been working as Reader in Chemistry in different premier colleges of the State since 1977. He obtained his M.Phil. Degree in 1985. He was awarded Ph.D. Degree in 1992 for his Doctoral Thesis entitled ‘Effect of Structural and Environmental Changes on Spectra’ under the guidance of Dr. Lalit Narayan Patnaik, presently Chairman of State Prevention and Control of Pollution Board, Orissa, Bhubaneswar. During his teaching career he earned popularity as a very sincere and hard working teacher.

He has excelled in the field of teaching and has enough administrative experience. As the Hostel Superintendent he has proved his administrative capability.

Since February, 2007 he has been serving as the First Controller of Examinations of the newly born Ravenshaw University, Cuttack.
